Well Get Bit and I had a very frustrating weekend.

We had permission to hunt on a farm that had about 2500 geese feeding in the fields. We were counting the bands and collars before we even shot them.(Don't do it! It's bad luck!) We had 4 of us in lay out blinds, in a corn field that had about 2000 geese(in this spot) the day before. We were in the right spot because goose turds don't lie. What a mess! Well we even had a Champion caller with us who even sounded better than the geese. When the 3 of us got on it, it sounded pretty good. For some reason the geese didn't think so. At first we had a flaring problem when the geese were behind us. Couldn't figure out what it was so we reajusted the blinds and they stopped flaring. Still don't know what flared them. We could get most groups to come in and give us a good look and probably could have pass shot a limit, but we prefer to put them in the hole and a few on the ground. It's just more fun to us to do it that way. Plus you don't get many crips. Get Bit had to leave early to make it to the OSU game so he left about 11:30am and the rest of us packed up shortly after. While packing up the birds came in about 600 yards away in the same field.
Get Bit and I came back the next morning and set up in the fresh **** section and were ready to wackem. We had a couple of groups look us over good to only have a bigger group come by and pull our birds with them. We stayed to 1:00 and no birds used our field. We packed up and went to get a burger and Coke because we figure we can eat our way out of any situation. Did some scouting the rest of the afternoon and didn't learn much but had a couple of fun days although frustrating. I can't wait till they start using our lease.
