Those look great. I love to use painted blades in low clear water. That is a good color, too. Other colors I like are dark green, and cobalt blue.

Those will work fine. Just fine. On salmon (especially cohos) and steelhead. Good job.

Well done. I'd use them on coho but for steelhead, try all black, dark green, the darkest red and the darkest blue in various combinations. It works for me.

Good luck.

I'll tell you what I think.. they look good, and chartreuse is a great color for low light conditions and/or murky water -but be aware that too much paint on the blade can sometimes hamper it from spinning as good as it should- and that one on the right looks pretty darn THICK!

Mix in some green spinners for springers. The Chart ones will work too - esp on fall chinook. Thanks for the pics. Dog

One of the nicest things about Blue Fox spinners is the silver plated blade. This finish has maximum flash at depth followed by gold, brass, copper then nickel. Nickel basically acts as a mirror - it reflects the surroundings- which makes it good for low, clear water. But back to the silver plated blade, you might consider one of the clearcoat colors out on the market, they aren't as thick and look fantastic over silver plate.

Cool. If i was a fish and hungry, id bite one. Seriously, the green tipped blade will work awesome for springers.

I've tinkered with this same paint on foxes but I was never able to get it on there without it being really thick and affecting the blade's spin.

Look good - the siwash are good for Chinook because you can fish those spinners slow and deep without as much worry about snagging. For that reason I'd also encourage you to pick up some #6's. They look too big for a small river but they can fish deep holes for springers and you'll pick summer steelhead up on them as well.

They look good, but you need to add something to your spinners. You need to put a small split ring on the bottom of the spinner and then attach your siwash hook to the split ring. This will prevent your hook from locking up if a fish is twisting and rolling on you. Without the split ring, you will lose fish when the hook locks up. It can only rotate so far and then can't rotate any more, hence forth, a lost fish. I have learned this from years of spinner making and the school of hard knocks. Good Luck w/ those great looking spinners.
