Default MC Report 3/25

Well, we had heard of a decent bite on thursday in the channel so we decided to give it a go. At 0700 we had three rods in the water and blue label cut plugs doin the springer dance of death. The boys and I were pumped and ready to pounce! We trolled all of our usual go to spots and even some we had never tried but alas there just wasnt much going on. There were alot of guys out today, and from what we saw and heard the story was much the same. We did see about four hookups throughout the day but thats it and we fished it hard for 8 hrs straight. We did manage to catch about 10 smolts that somehow thought they could eat our herring that were as big as them! If only the adult salmon were that agressive or stupid! Anyhow good luck to those who brave the elements tommorow, ya never know it might be better tommorow. One things for sure though it was better than work! Oh yeah for those of you that do go out tommorow show some patience and courtesy to the other boats trolling, theres plenty of room for everyone, just have a little patience and you will get the slot you want. And by all means if your the guy running the kicker make sure you are paying attention cause I see too many guys tying up rigs and such and not paying attention to where they are going!

That made me feel a little better about fishing for bass today...except we spent two days chasing the elusive springer and then got skunked on bass

I refuse to take up shopping!

Rainrshine and I hung on the hook from 7 am to 1:30 and saw four fish caught out of our hog line, about 8 boats. We also trolled for 2 hours and nada. Lotsa boats very little action.

Same here! Took the kids out and luckily they brought stuff to play with or it would have been a real long day. Good to be on the water though.
