Default curious about herring

I have fished with several different people and everyone has there own way of tying/threading herring to get the proper roll im curious to see what some of the folks on I-FISH do

I have ran cut plugs behind a flasher, and have threaded them with a treble in the tail. Both rigs have been effective. When I thread them I put a spinner in front, and put a slight bend in the herring to add spin.

Pro-Cure's Plug Cutter has the most detailed instructions of options to run cut plug that I've seen. Also there was a good article in one of the Salmon and Steelhead Journal issues (there have only been 3) about running herring cut and whole.

Check these 2 sources out for great written details of herring options.
