Default flasher and leader ?????

Hey guys and gals, when trolling herring with a flasher, how do you set it up? How long of leader to flasher and then how long from the flasher to your bait? I'm looking at trying some new tactics and am looking for guidance. Thanks

Default Re: flasher and leader ?????

In the salt I run the flasher or dodger directly off the diver, 2-3' of leader to the bait.

Bays/tidewater; 18" leader off the spreader to the flasher/dodger, 3-4' leader to to bait.

Big C and Willy; 18" leader off the spreader or slider with weight to the flasher/dodger, 4-5' leader to the bait.

Had good luck so far, but I really believe it's all about the depth you fish.
