Default TR-1 the only option!!!!!!!!!!!

After two years of manually running the kicker motor on my Thunder-Jet, I finally saw the light . A fellow I fisher was good enough to sell me an older TR-1 (Due to the fact he already had a new Gold model on his boat). Though my model doesn't have all the bells and whistles, it truely has to be the greatest invention's since the lightbulb! After sitting on anchor this morning, I decided to do a little trolling. I was actually able to fish instead of being physically attached to the kicker! I even did some back trolling, or maybe I should say the TR-1 did while I fished! I just have to say if you don't have a TR-1, you should definetly get one! I applaud Nautamatic.

Tunaorlater: The install was a bit tricky due to all the other stuff I already have installed. I had to fabricate a bracket for the electrohydraulic unit so I could mount it out of the way of my Autoblend unit for my kicker. I also had to make a bracket to attach the drag link to my outboard and relocate my cooler mounting brackets so the drag link would clear. Though I enjoyed the entire installation process, and after using the TR-1, it was well worth it. Unfortunately no, I did not catch any fish! :depressed: But there's always another day!

Duckboy

The tr-1 is an autopilot, not in the same class as some of these remote steering devices that don't work very well. I love mine. You get what you pay for. Their add is on the bottom of this page.

pretty much ditto..although the deck mount switch is not always a sure thing and the throttle every now and then has mind of it's own...which if you get a fish off of the random speed change, can be a good thing...

I am finally getting it all working again after kicker rip off guys trashed it...wish the TR-1 was smart enuf to run over the ********...

Also, nauta folks have been a#1 thru initial purchase and two theft trashings..although they earn good $ on spare parts..

Just had my TR 1 Gold installed a couple weeks ago. Just like they say.... point and shoot. Once its pointed then locked into a heading, it stays right on track. No fighting with the tiller when the wind blows or in cross currents for the most part. Well worth the investment since you really do get more time to fish. Excellent product.

If your TR1 was going in cirles it wasen't cause of the unit. The samething happend to mine and I called the factory. One of my batterys was low. I backtroll in fast water all the time. Just takes a little practice.
