My Seahawk is born w/pics. Delivery pics added
Well finally my boat is under construction and here are some pictures. The completion date is 4/5 hopefully it will be on time. It is suppose to go to canvas this week and paint next then rigging and delivery.
Notice the winshield is raised 2".
The transom fish box has a 10" section with divider for hot hands on the port side and a 16" section with divider for a live well on the starboard side.
The bow will have a coating of truck bed liner on it.
Can you have too many rod holders? Ther is also a net holder on the forward leg on each side.
I can hardley wait But I like what I am seeing.

Hey Gundog, Lookin' Gooood!
Make sure they put that arch back far enough so that you can get to the rocket launchers with the top up What color are you painting it?
I love that closed bow, darn, why didn't I think of that
The calendar is starting to move really slow for you now, isn't it?

Northriverrick,
Thanks for the kind words and yes the back leg of the arch is suppose to be even with the back of the canvas. The days are going awefully slow 6 months with no boat has been hard.

The boat is looking good. What length is it? How big is the fuel cell?

Re: My Seahawk is born w/pics.
Gundog,
Nice boat. You will have many years of enjoyment with it. I ordered a 24' Seahawk set up for twin 115 Yamahas. It too should be going to paint sometime this week. The last pictures I received showed it all taped up. Unlike you however, I will have to wait till about the 20th for mine. I have been boatless since August :depressed:.

Re: My Seahawk is born w/pics.
Rustyl,
The boat is 21' and the fuel cell is standard 70 gallons. Main power will be 150 Yamaha I think that should be enough fuel for that size motor. I would have gone longer but I pull it with a 31' motorhome part of the time.
Northriverrick,
The color is blue with Aztec silver on the bottom half, I am thinking of naming it "Wild Blue" what do you think?

Re: My Seahawk is born w/pics.
Mike, looks like ya got a great boat coming!!!!! Why did ya go with the closed bow ("whitewater bow")? Is it all dry storage under the bow hatch, or a big fish box that drains? Awesome looking boat!!!!

Re: My Seahawk is born w/pics.
Snit,
I put a lot of thought in the closed bow and decided for use in the ocean I did not want the open bow for safety. The decision came down to what I am losing with the closed bow and the only thing I could come up with was not being able to carry an ice chest up front. The closed bow on mine has a bulkhead welded in between the dry storage Access inside and the access from the deck that has a drain for my anchor rope storage area. The hatch on top goes to the forward area for the rope and anchor or what ever I through in there. I guess I could use it for a fish box but that was not what I intended it for.

Very nice Mike, it looks so very close to completion. That tower is a great addition.

Re: My Seahawk is born w/pics.
Good choice of colors. Mine are the exact same colors too. Think the closed bow will work nicely and glad to see that they put in a drain hole in the anchor box instead of running it back to the bilge. Was it any extra having the bow closed off?

Backlash442,
The closed bow option is not an extra cost but having the bulkhead to sectionalze it cost around $400.

Re: My Seahawk is born w/pics.
Beautiful boat. Gotta love those Seahawks, Been out to tuna town in one, and out a few miles byond the Columbia Bar, they are great boats. I like their hard/Soft top(hard frame with a cloth cover.) That 115 should get good GPH rating.

Check page 1 they are there now. I have the pictures on a site that hosts pictures the files were too big for ifish. Sometimes this web hosting picture site goes down and if it does the pictures won't show.

Re: My Seahawk is born w/pics.
Nice boat. My buddy has a 22' North River Commander and absolutely loves it, lots of room in the cockpit, especially compared to my Trophy. The Seahawk should let you take on the big water. I'd get it treated with Sharkhide before you let it touch the salt for the first time, you won't regret it in the long run. Congrats on the new boat.

Re: My Seahawk is born w/pics.
Welcome to the club! Nice boat Looks like they are using liquid-lube hubs now too on the EZ-Loader trailers - wish I'd have swapped mine over sooner - those things are sweet! 70 Gallons should be fine for tuna runs - I've got 95 gallons on my Seahawk, but it's a foot longer, full hard-top (meaning more weight) and I push it with a F-225. The most I've burned on a full day trip is 60 gallons.

Re: My Seahawk is born w/pics. Delivery pics added
Cool, cool looking boat! That tower really fits well there, doesn't it. You gotta be one happy camper.
When you're adding jewelry, be sure and spring for a flow meter. You'll want to know what that 115 is drinking, and how much range you actually have. A Navman or FloScan is worth every nickel.
I suspect we'll be seeing a lot of the Wild Blue out on the Big Blue this summer. Congrats!!!
