Willow Creek/Sauvie Report....

[Lured In]

Well we hunted Willow Creek, along with what seemed like the rest of the world, on Saturday. There were probably close to 50 hunters and I was only able to confirm 5 roosters and 4 quail. One gentlemen had 2 roosters and 4 quail, so that should give you some picture of how it was. We hunted for 5 hours and only jumped one rooster way out of range.

The ducks at Willow creek though, were another story. While pheasant hunting we watched 3 guys on the NE point of the island shoot a limit by 11am and they missed probably twice as many as they killed.

After chasing roosters, we went and set up for ducks down on the river (at 151) and didn't see a single duck in 4.5 hours!

Hunted Sauvie on Sunday morning. REAL SLOW!!! Not much shooting and what I did hear was coming from the west side. We hunted out off Aaron and saw quite a few flying but not decoying for anything.

I am off for the Cascade rifle elk hunt on Friday and wil let you know how it turns out.
