Default Longview Report

NW-Jet'n, my little girl and I hit the C at Longview for some springer action Saturday. We launched from the Cowlitz Gerhart Park Ramp. We pulled in about 30min before sunrise surprised to find we were the first vehicle in the lot. That's a to a first for me. T

Trolled herring and spinners along the Oregon side just south of Longview until the tide swaped, then anchored running Kwiks and spinners. Nothing for us but we saw 5 boated on the flood, and four hooked with two sacraficed to seals, one nate, and one netted about a nano-second before a seal sufaced under the net.

Water temp 47.5 and it rained hard. Kept warm and enjoyed a nice lunch under the canvas while soaking up to the soothing sounds of a little classic rock radio.

Great to be on the water.

As always I had an awesome time Calvin. Atleast we killed a lot of time and that is a whole heckuva lot better than being at work. I love being out there under the cover snoozin and waiting for the pound down. That was amazing seeing those gents net that fish just as that seal was bearing down on it. I bet he was like "What the hey, where did my fish go?" Finally...a fisherman 1 seal 0 story. We bumped into C&E and he told us he talked to Wootersen and they had 2 fish on board by 7:30! We are not worthy.
