Default Introduction

Hello All
Just a quick intro to the salty dogs. I've been a member of Ifish for a couple of months and made my intro there already. I now live on the McKenzie River outside Eugene and I'm a landlubber. Well, not really I guess, I'm a fresh water lubber. Traded in my 20' Fishrite for a driftboat. I lived in Coos Bay for years and spent many a day on the ocean on the south and central coast. Like to come in and read the posts on the salty dogs discussion board. Miss the ocean but not willing to tackle her in my 16' driftboat. If anyone ever has a seat or wants to trade a river drift for a ride in the ocean, I'm game. I kept quite a bit of my ocean gear for bottom fish and salmon so I'm pretty much equipped.

I've enjoyed the great posts on the Salty Dogs!

Alright. It's not even summer yet. Wait til we start handing out those ID guides.

Welcome and you should get a ride no problem. Just mention the fact that you have never caught a TUNA! before every chance you get.

Welcome aboard. If you get a tuna this summer, or rather WHEN you get a tuna, you'll be trading your drift boat back in for an ocean-going vessel. Tuna fishing is addicting like no other type of fishing.
