A Shamrock Channel report

Hit the MC with Todd (aka Blacktail519) for some spring chrome early this morning. As soon as we cleared Scappoose bay into the channel saw a boat with a fish on. Things were looking good. Headed up to Coon island to start the troll down and saw another boat with a fish on. Things were looking better. Trolled herring and prawn spinners for the next 8 hours, continously with nary a tap, bump or any other indication there was fish in the water. Heard of a few being caught up and down the MC from Coon on down. I now have 9 hours on anchor and 59 hours trolling with one fish on for about ten seconds 3 weeks ago.

It was fun fishing with you Todd, thanks for the herring roll lesson....and I met the Blind Chicken Fishing at the ramp...nice guy.

It was good to meet you also Wannacatchem. Here's a positive statement.At least you felt one three weeks ago for ten seconds.

I'm still waiting for that. These times are good tests of our character.
