Above I-5 Fishing Report
Fished out of Chinook Landing from 05:30 to 14:00. Anchored up alongside Government Island across from the tail end of Ackerman Island. Water temp was 47, depth 25FT and the current was running from .7 to 1.3 (current picked up around noon). The weather was pretty nice until 09:30 and then it really started to blow around 11:30 but it was still fishable with the sea bags out.
How we did:
5 people in the boat with 3 sardine wrapped Kfish and 2 prawn spinners. Approx 10:00 we had a takedown. A Kfish rod started bobbing up and down once, twice, three times. On the 4th it dived but when the rod was grabbed the fish disappeared .
When we landed, the fish checker told me that he had counted 23 boats and only 1 fish.
Even though we didn't get a , it was nice being able to fish in our own backyard again .
 ,
John

Here's what the 1 looked like. 21 pounds. Bare naked M-2.
Definitely windy out there today.

5-cents, thats my line... but I've discovered the cure... take all the hooks off the k'fish! They can then be handled safely.

Dude, if you take all the hooks off, how do you catch fish?

Re: Above I-5 Fishing Report
I'm with 5 cents. I don't understand how the heck a salmon can hit those things hard enough to make the rod bend over and over again yet not hook itself. If I so much as look at my kwikfish wrong, it jumps into my hand and imbeds itself.

Trust me...there's been plenty of blood in the boat. I'm pretty vigilant with my pressure washer tho..

Re: Above I-5 Fishing Report
Nice fish Mark. Hoping to get out today, not sure though. Tooth really hurts. But I'm sure it's nothing a chinook couldn't take away.
