Default Willy channel cat


my buddy caught this cat about a week ago while fishing for gators on the willy above sellwood, thought I would share it with you all.

They're still one of the ugliest fish Ive ever eaten. Im not sure Id want to eat a bottom filter out of the Willy!!

Nice sized cat there, but I wouldn't eat it either. Will not eat anything out of the Willy unless it is a migratory fish such as salmon and steelhead. Too much ugly stuff has been in the river over the years, mercury, heavy metals and pcb's.

I think that fish has been a resident ever since ODFW has stocked them.
I've got about 3 years of pictures from sellwood of at LEAST
4 different people catching a catfish from that same area!
Always sturgeon fishing.
