Default High Cascade?

Has anyone been successful this year so far?
I have only had the time to make it out once so far and didnt see a single animal deer or elk. Does anyone have any ideas or tips for the last couple days of this season? I have a tag and my mother also has a tag with a Disabled hunting permit. We are meat hunters so doe or buck is ok for her. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanx for all your help.

Jon
My father and brother spend the weekend hunting the high cascade buck hunt. They saw very few deer and no horns. I would have been there also if it wasnt for the ifishstock party.

Good luck.

I've done that hunt many times in years past. Surprisingly tricky. Not nearly as easy as you would think. Got to really know where you are going and where the animals are. Lots of area for them to cover and much of that high country is just "dead". Key in on water and areas w/ lots of feed. We try to hunt the east side of the boundry and as low as possible. The White River Wildlife Refuge area around Mt. Hood is good for this. If you look at your maps you'll see that it goes East fairly far and gets fairly low. If nothing else it transfers into a general western buck tag so don't fear. Best of luck.
