Re: Meteor?
The wife and I,and a few fellow smelt dippers saw it last night. It was amazing.Big bluish/green ball with a huge tail of sparks.going from reddish to white.
A little boy next to me saw it.He hollered."did you see that" about 20 times.Extrememly excited.
We also saw a bunch of bright flashes about the time it went out of site.Dont have a clue as the cause of them.
Was definitely a cool thing to see.
We were in Castle Rock.
If it would have been going the other direction I would have figured it was Kalaminator jettin to the river for smelt.

Re: Meteor?
We were out around our campfire, and a friend goes,"WOW" check it out, and turned in just in time to see the end and a bunch of Bright flashes. Pretty cool. Heard them talking this morning on the news, and they say it went into the ocean.

The wife and I were going through Grande Ronde last night and saw it. We thought it was a flare or some sort of fireworks.

Re: Meteor?
I was on duty last night. 911 center going crazy ... I was dispatched to the ocean beach to see if it was a distress flare or a plane down ...
Don't worry I called george Nory and the Coast to Coast crew will be on the case.

Re: Meteor?
I had just left my house...I was staring at a red light, about to get onto the freeway. Maybe it was the dullness of the evening, or just chance? I saw the crazy meteor/plane crash/ufo/insanity...????
I was a little freaked out, and it actually crossed my mind that something bad had or was going to happen...too weird.
and i am not one that has ever seen a ufo...or meteor.!

Re: Meteor?
I was on the cowlitz, near the golf course, try'n to put the finnishing touches on my limit.I saw this big green ball, looked like a shot from a roman candle, but much higher and bigger. At first I thought it was a firework of some kind, but then started joking about it being aliens that heard the smelt were in ....didn't know what it was till I read the morning paper.

Re: Meteor?
I saw it too and started freaking out... none of my buddies saw it and they all though I had drinken a litte too much too fast but it was only 8 and I had just begun to test myself . I though it was fireworks for sure but I guess not, big n' green, the flashes after it were the wierdest part no sound though.

Re: Meteor?
I too saw it last night... was standing in my backyard in Sherwood when all of a sudden I saw a bright blue streak fly through the sky. I thouht it was a big firework, or meteor falling from the sky, and that it had landed not too far from my house. Sounds like most everyone who saw it said it looked like it landed not too far from where they saw it. ~SK~
