Default Maiden Voyage, Good times!!

I was lucky enough to enjoy the "first trip" with Chromaflage in his new Clackacraft drift boat. We floated from 6 a.m. until after 6 p.m. That is One Sweet Ride, even in low water. We also experienced many classes of rapids, ranging from 0.1  all the way up to a class 0.9!!! [remember, Zero IS the first number]

The new vessel handled superbly; and a skilled oarsman made for a great ride. He even found some new muscles today that he forgot about.

Thanks, Chromey-Flake! I've never seen you so excited or so happy.....reminds me of a boy on Christmas morning....nuf said.

And for your pleasure, here is the man at the sticks, in his new found Heaven.... .....first set of Zero Class Rapids in the new drifter.

Wow! that didn't take long to get on the river. Where are the fish pics? All kidding aside, I am glad you are enjoying the boat Kerry. I hope you catch many fish in it. By the way, I told you that was where that break down or belongs.

Oh boy....This morning my body reminded me of a couple things. One, I'm not as young as I used to be; and two, I haven't rowed a boat or pulled pulled up an anchor in a while. But, it's all good!!!!

Had a great day with good company and the new boat. We fished hard - at least in those few places where there was enough water to fish. But nothing substantial came to our offering. So, Spooled, did you keep the fishing mojo? I thought it came with the boat? And yes, that break down oar tucked in there very nicely. Hopefully I'll never have to use it.

Oh, I did discover one other thing that I NEED to do prior to the next outing....I need to put a mark on the anchor rope so I can see when the anchor's almost up. pull, pull, pull, pull, BANG!!!! Anchor's up!

Thanks, BD for going along. It was great having you there for the maiden voyage. I think I'm ready for those Class 1.0 to 1.5 rapids!!! Bring on the rain!!!!!!!

Fast Water - just let me know when "it's time" and I'm all over it.

I don't know about you guys but those knuckles look pretty white to me in that class .005 rapids

Also broken oar in the back in the boat all ready I can still see the ramp on the other side of the bridge. what happened?
I lost an oar once on the clack and was grateful the one I had didn't collapse. It was there and handy.

Let's see, how many things can jump out of that tackle box with that .1 rapid? I bet we loose at least a couple of corkies if anything.

Just poking fun at you guys. Looks like a great day on the river and nothing but fun times lies a head of you. Congrats again Kerry.
