Default Not so new intro

I have noticed that newbies post an intro,I have posted but not intro'd so here it is. I am new to the big fish arena, I have fished for trout and some pan fish. I had the great opportunity thanks to my Stepdad to grow up in the country. We spent almost a year up in B.C. about 150 miles from Williams Lake. I got to run wild in the woods at 10 years old. I also learned to work up there. The guy my Dad worked for had a round bailer for hay so I was out trailing them tying the bales as we went. I was changing irrigation pipes on my own also. Fishing was amazing up there. We used grasshopper's for bait, at that time it seemed the bigger the hopper the bigger the fish. My Dad got a work out one afternoon when stopped at a nice hole along the road. There was what appeared to be a school of trout right by the bank, we would my 2 sister's and I would drop our line in and the bigger fish would knock the little one's out of the way a take the hook. Dad was kept busy unhooking and rebaiting. In less than an hour the 3 of us caught 23 fish. This all took place in "63". I feel sorry for most kids these days, if they aren't plugged in to something electronic they are bored. Any way I guess this should do it for now.
I have one Fall Salmon and one keeper sturgeon under my belt thus far thanks to Mike of the Waterfish.

Welcome aboard, Clownfish. That grasshopper fishing sounds like fun. What a great way to grow up. That type of upbringing instills good values. I generally agree about the activity of the kids today. I have observed a number of them that are very attached to their video games. I have also observed that a good work ethic is lacking in a lot of the kids I see today. I sure can't find one to mow my lawn. I have asked and they just laugh.

Good story. I keep my daughter's interest up by taking her when I know there lots of fish to be caught. She likes trout and panfish because when they are on the bite they can keep her interest. On such occasions, Electronic games are left at home.
