Wa. - early goose hunt?

Any word from the WDFW on dates for the early goose hunt? After spending time on the Columbia at Frenchman's Bar area, I haven't seen that many local birds on the WA side of the river. Seems they go from Sauvies Island south and back again.

If you are a goose hunter, I would suggest doing the master hunter program. You get to go on harrassment hunts all the way into March and THEY set up tha private land access!

Hi Kaus:

Birds are moving from your side of the river to the Island almost daily. They have been crossing late in the day. Close to noon....my guess they are getting kicked out of an area on your side of the river but thats just a guess. They were coming across
and flying between Peterson's and the Eastside check station on their way to the big lake. This week they are crossing over Willow Bar and are still going to the big lake.

Saw a couple groups cross nearer the south side in the evening. Nothing like last year. The crops are not right or late (corn as usual) [img]images/icons/confused.gif[/img]
