Default When to fish the Jettin\' Fool

Most advice for springer lures sounds like this: any color you want as long as it's chartreuse.

Question is, in what conditions would you fish the Jettin' Fool? There's a little chartreuse there so it's good to run out any time if nothing else it hitting. But there's a lot of purple too. Clear water? Overcast skies? When would it be your "go to" lure?

Time will tell....since there is nothing quite like it on the market it will need lots and lots of testing

My thoughts on it when I designed it was I wanted it for clear water conditions and to use in shallower depths where the color and reflection could give that fish candy flash of death to Mr. Chinookie.

I cant wait to try it out!

With the springertime weather, cloudy for a while then the sun peeks through then cloudy again, combined with the lower flows this year the "JettinFool" pattern should do well.
I just got my two in the mail and can hardly wait to fish them.

Only on days that end in "Y"...

I think they'll be good in just about any conditions because there's just enough chartreuse for contrast with that nasty pink. I'll probably make sure there's a Jettin' Fool and an eyeFISH both out there until the first fish hits. I can't wait to mess up those pretty paint jobs!

Fall fish. Purple is the color for deep water.

I think there are more pink prawns used in the Oregon City area for springers than in the Columbia. I dont know why a lot of people use prawns in the OC area other than they catch fish with them.

I will fish my jett'n fool where I know pink prawns are effective.
