Real Estate career?

Hi, I was wondering if there is anybody that could give some insight to my wife and I concerning a Real Estate career? My wife is considering getting her license and start selling but we both want to be informed. We survive on my income so her making money immediately is not an issue. She definitely has the personality and work ethic to do it. Is is realistic to expect that she can make good money at it? What are some of the gotchas? BTW, she would be selling in the Washington county area.

My first wife (no great intellect but a hard worker) started selling real estate in 1974. She has made a superb income year after year, increasing each year. 'Course that is maybe not too hard to do when real estate prices climb an average of 11% a year, as they have been doing now for a few years.

Real estate is a great field for hard workers.
