Default Eugene/Springfield/South Valley

I'm posting this from the ifish Forum.
There have been quite a few ifishers check in over the last few days about a get together. After some back and forth for a time and place, we've agreed on this Monday night , March 7, at Steelheaders Brew Pub in Eugene. An 8:30 (or thereabouts) start time has been posted. It would be good to see any of you SaltyDoggers there that can make it.

I'm kinda curious how many Ifish members are in the Eugene/Springfield area.
I see quite a few posts from Salem , Bend and other areas in Oregon and Washington, but not many from Eugene/Springfield. If you live around Eugene/Springfield why not chime in on this post. Maybe we can do like they do in other areas. Get together for some brew and bull, post seats open, share experiences, talk about fishing trips and tips, and the like.
I live up the McKenzie and am keeping my fingers crossed for another good salmon and steelhead run this year. Winter steelhead fishing has pretty much been a bust on the streams where I fish so I'm waiting for the salmon to show on the McKenzie and Middle Fork. Right now I'm just hoping they have enough water in the McKenzie to float a boat in a couple of months.

Interested in taking my 13ft Woody Hindman down the Mckenzie for some spring/summer trout fishing. I guided on the Deschutes, the Sacramento and other great trout streams but have not fished the McKenzie since I was a kid. (1950) I'm looking for a run that is safe till I get the feel of my boat and know the river better. (class II or IIplus) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. You can e-mail me directly at tyeetoo@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance. Mike
