C-map questions?

I just got the new chartplotter and need to purchase a c-map chip for it. I will be going out of Newport/Depoe/Tillamook almost exclusivley, and am
not sure what to look for.

Local? Wide? Superwide? Bathy? I can't even decipher all the differences on the C-map home page.

I just went thru that same search. I went with the bathometric. You do NOT get any river detail too far east of the coast, but offshore detail was better than the non-bathometric.

The different sized cover larger areas, but since you're looking at the Oregon coast area, the bathometric will suit your needs well.

C-Map also has a couple of different types of chips. You need to make sure you get the style for your unit.
