Default USCG Saturday,Whats up.

Saw two USCG boats and their helocopter heading north from Boiler Bay in a hurry on Saturday around 2:00pm,Anyone know what happened.Maybe training,not sure.Just curiouos.

There were a couple of jet skiers that got stranded...it was on the news up here in Oly.
And get this they didn't have pfd's on!!

DEPOE BAY, Ore. -- The Coast Guard rescued a woman and two kids near Spanish Head after they became trapped on the rocks this weekend.

The Coast Guard rescues a young boogie boarder off a rock near Spanish Head after the girl got caught in a rip current.

They had apparently gotten swept away by a rip current. The unidentified woman was with her 11-year-old niece and her niece's friend, who were boogie boarding on Saturday, officials said.


"You thought...any minute they would be gone because they were in the water for so very long...they were moving out to sea...it was pretty hairy to watch that unfold," said Steve Margraves, who was on the beach near Depoe Bay when he and his wife caught the rescue on tape.


Rescuers had to use a helicopter to hoist one of the girls off the rock. The Depoe Bay Fire Department assisted in the rescue.


The woman and two girls were taken to North Lincoln Hospital where they were
