Default New light Spinning reel U.S. REEL

I just received my new spinning reel made by U.S. REEL. This is the first product that RAY SCOTT has endorsed .A s many of you know he is the gentleman that started BASS .And he was the first person to have a BASS tournament for money .This is a spinning reel that is deigned for light line fishing from one lbs. to fifth teen lbs . line .It has a larger that normal spool (about 1/3 the size larger ) than a normal reel .It is all so lighter weight than most reels of comparable size the drag is all so very smooth which helps with the lighter weight lines The spool is designed to place your finger on it easily so that you can pitch a bait to a tight area .I tried it last night for pitching and found it to be easier than any spinning reel that I own , and I have a lot of spinning reels from my personal use and from days when I was guiding for STEELHEAD .It is constructed of carbon fiber, eight ball bearing and available with graphite and aluminum spools at no additional cost . The larger spool also helps to eliminate line twist .We all know what a pain that line twist can be .The larger spool will also help to make longer casts with a lighter weight .
U.S. Reel wants us to be completely satisfied with this reel and offer s an unprecedented refund policy . If you are not happy with your purchase , return it with the original receipt within 60- days and get a full refund . I BOUGHT MY REEL AT CABELA’L . I couldn’t find it at any of the usual places. around here I heard that CABELA’S has an exclusive on it . I tried BASS PRO Shops and they can not get them .
I was crappie fishing last year and found that I was catching BASS in places that I hadn’t caught them in before. I wanted a reel that would handle downsizing for BASS and still be light weight for crappie . I can hardly wait for the water to warm up enough to catch lots of BASS .

Default Re: New light Spinning reel U.S. REEL

You know Shalom, You have told me so much about this reel I dediced to do a little research on it myself. Now I see why you are so excited about it.

U.S. Reel claims that this reel is the biggest advance in spinning reels since the skirted spool. It weighs only 8 oz's and has a spool diameter of 2 1/4". Usually an 8 oz reel is designed for smaller fish like crappie. But this reel will handle big bass as well as crappie. 8 oz reels are not usually ment to handle 15lb test, but this one does because of its unique spool design.

Like you said, it has 8 ball bearings but it also has an additional roller bearing, making it a very smooth casting reel. The reason the manufacturer feels this is the next generation of spinning reels is because of how far you can cast with it. The less initial line twist (a lot less), and the low line memory in addition to the spool size make longer cast possible.

The one thing I found funny about this reel is that it is endorsed by Ray Scott and found only in Cabela's catalog. I have always connected Ray Scott the founder of Bassmaster Magazine and BASS, with Johnny Morris' Bass Pro Shops more than with Cabela's.

Shalom bring that new spining over. I'll open it up and see what's inside. Perhaps there are extra parts that are not needed!

Hey Shalom, why don't you bring that new honey of a reel to the OBPC meeting Tuesday night so the rest of us can drool over it?
