Umpqua Springers?
does anyone know if there is a fishable spring chinook run on the Umpqua? I'd like to try some new water this year.
Thanks,

Re: Umpqua Springers?
There is NO springer run on the Umpqua, Never has been, never will be!
Actually, there is a nice run of springers that you can find on the main stem and North. The South is closed to salmon fishing.

Re: Umpqua Springers?
I've heard the North Umpqua gets a nice run. Darren Roe is a guide I've fished with for winter steelhead that said he has done well with springers there.

NO THERE ARE NOT ANY SPRINGERS IN THE UMPQUA! Don't waste your time fishing there.
The fishing for them can be good. with out the big crowds.

Re: Umpqua Springers?
I don't know about the "no crowds" bit.....sometimes you cant park within a few miles of the ramps....those days become sturgeon days.
