Re: wild steelhead on seattle restaurants menu
That could be a misnomer.
Many restaurants sell "wild caught" salmon which basically means that it is not farm raised. I would hope that this is the same situation.

Re: wild steelhead on seattle restaurants menu
Please read these articles that the links lead to! This is something that we can make a difference in. If everyone spends a minute or two to send an e-mail to "the powers that be" i.e. the restaurant chains management (address provided in the links) IT MAY WELL BE THE WAKE UP THEY NEED TO STOP THE PRACTICE OF BUYING (AND SELLING) WILD STEELHEAD.

It's time for all of us to hurt them where it hurts the most.. the bottom line.
Tell them that you won't spend any money at their establishment. I did.

Re: wild steelhead on seattle restaurants menu
Albertson's in Troutdale is selling "wild " Steelhead. These fillets are off of fish in the 12-25lb range.Closer inspection of the packers box indicates they are truly pen raised.WE all know " Real men don't eat pen raised Salmon or Steelhead ".

Re: wild steelhead on seattle restaurants menu
I thought it was illegal to buy fish from the tribes! They get free raine on the fish so THEY can feed their families... not us.
