Perch? Nope, Walleyes...
Went to my favorite perch waters on Friday. Couldn't keep those darn walleyes off. No Perch, caught 12 walleyes though. Now I know where the perch are going, being ate for dinner by the wallys. Good ol Swedish Pimple was a winner.

Any hawgs in that stringer, or were these the good eating size? See where they're supposedly doing pretty good on walleyes on the big reservoir.

Biggest was 22 inches. I use the 1/4 oz model with a gamakatsu siwash. I put a scaly looking sticker on the Pimple. Small chunk of crawler on the hook. Couldn't catch a darn perch to get the eyeball!

Re: Perch? Nope, Walleyes...
I use a Shimano Stradic 1000 on a 6 foot Shimano Compre rated 6-10, spooled with 6 pound Fireline. I loop a 2 foot, 4 pound Vanish flourocarbon leader on the end, to a small duo-lock snap. I freespool the pimple till I find bottom. I then jig in very short movements. Sometimes they want movement, sometimes they want it dead still. It is killer with an eyeball when you can get em to cooperate.
