Default Sturgeon report

Fished the Kelly point area yesterday afternoon. Between 3 of us we caught about 20 shakers. It was a fun day but I did not hear of any keepers caught out of 40 or so boats in the area.

Twenty or so fish in an outing sounds like an ok day to me. If we caught keepers every trip we wouldn't be able to fish for them very long. Were you guys fishing in the Columbia or the Willy? There are some nice fish to be had inside the Willy and Multnomah Channel this time of year.

We were fishing just down from the mouth of the Willamette in the soft water. The tide was coming in most of the day so we had to keep our kicker on to keep us pointed downstream but it seemed to work. The fish really seemed to be congregated in the soft water out of the current. Sounds like the Willamette is kicking out a lot more fish. Don't know it that well....I guess I'll have to explore a little.
