Default worst day fishing, better than best dayworking

well this is my newbee story.
one day my new wife and I were watching a fishing show and they were bass fishing down south in cypress trees and the wife asked me if there was any place in Oregon that had sturcture like that. and I told her not really but craine praire had a lot of downed timber and there is some nice fish there.next thing I know Iem hooking up the boat and heading east for the weekend.we fished for a day and a half and did not get anything but a bad sunburn.as we came back to the dock I was taking to a guy at the boat ramp. he said they had some luck @ the dam so the next day we headed down to the dam which is a long ways(and theres a 10mph limit on the lake)anyway we pull up and had just started fishing and the wife got real excited and said look at all the fish as I spun around and steped right in the tackle box with no shoes on!!as the pain shot up my leg and I em hopping around on one foot I dropped my new pole in the lake.well I was able to get all but one lure out of my foot
not sure what to do(had no cutters in the boat)we head back across the lake @ 5mph with a rappla hanging off my foot.and it comes to me how the heck was I going to get the boat trailerd
anyway we got it done.now what go back to portland and have the lure pulled out??no we will try Bend. As I go in the E room everyone had a good laugh.so after we head out foot all wrapped up and heading home the boat starts to act funny so I stop on the down side of warm springs hill and I lost the cap on trailer tire being I was on a hill I thought I would go down the and fix it on the bottom.truck wont start?? had to hitch hike to warm springs to call a tow truck.(on one foot, bad sun burn&skunked) and then hitch hike back to meet the tow truck, anyway aday later and a few hundred$$$poorer we were back on the road heading home and after about 1/2 hour on the road the wife talked me in to calling in sick so we could go to pine hollow and go fishing at that point I realized I had made the best catch of my life.
had a good time at pine hollow

Welcome aboard...it's a good thing you weren't fishing down south in the big blue where the plugs are bigger. Tight Lines

been waiting to see your story for quite some time. Good one. Ive had my share of similar problems over the years. Your right about the catch of your life. If she is persuading you do do the fishing, you simply have it made in the shade.
