Water in cyclinder Tech assist?
What would most likely be cause. 175 95 Evinrude Ocean runner.
Motors been runnning fine but had a intermitant starting problem (turned out to be nuetral switch) so when fixing this decided to service lower unit and do a compression check. When removing plugs for compression check there was water in the lower cyclinders. Remember engine was running fine 1 week prior. Anyway removed all the plugs and turned engine over a few times to blow water out and reinstalled plugs. Primed engine and within 4 cranks engine started and ran smooth as can be. Shut down and left flush unit on cranked again, engine started up fine. Left flush unit attached and running leaving engine off there is no evidence of water in cylinders.. Any ideas as to how water got there ? Engine has 806 hours on it and compression checked between 95-100 on all6 cyclinders
