Default Another Gift

I like to call it a gift from above as the last few times I have been on the river it has been windy and cold, but yesterday the Willamette was flat and the air temp was pretty good and the sun even came out. Wasn't sure if I was going to get out again but you all know how it works, sometimes we get lucky.
Yes, their still biting but a lot of the good spots seem void of fish. The last spot we fished on a whim in the evening gave us almost a dozen keeper size fish. Big fish of the day was pushing 19 inches and was caught on a jig with a yum trailor. I even caught a nice one on a fat free shad. I felt I was lucky to catch one on a crank as the fish seem so deep.
