What end do you fish for smallmouths? I would like to give it a try from my pontoon boat with some flies.

Son has been going to the upper end at Scoggins creek and Seine Creek arms. We fished one evening from shore by boat ramp A and caught scads of smaller ones on light tackle. A ball.
