Need ideas for Seattle & Vancouver BC

Taking the family up north for spring break. We have a 16 year old boy and 14 year old girl. Two questions: recommendations on where to stay and what to do up there. In Seattle we will likely do Pike Place market, Ferry ride, Boeing museum of flight, Ballard locks & the rock/Jimi Hendrix museum but will welcome other ideas (especially what teenagers might be interested in). In Vancouver BC we'll likely do the aquarium, Stanley Park, suspension bridge & I think they have a maritime museum so again if any other suggestions, let me know. On yeah, wife and daughter like to shop.

I especially interested if you have any recommendations on cost-effective (has to be clean!) hotels that have 1 BR suites. Planning on Comfort Inn so if anything better let me know.
