Well what can I say, but tuff fishing. Sat. the wind picked up around 11:30 and the fish had lock jaw. Except for our Angler of the Year winner. He managed another 14lb bag anchored by a 4.87 fish. All other bag weights were 6lbs to 3lbs. I only managed a 3lbder on Sat and a 2lbs on sunday. Winning weight for Sunday was 5.86lbs. Fish were caught on everything from buzzbaits to tubes. The big fish was on deep wood.

Those bass down there I believe are some of the best looking bass in the state. That tanic water gives them a cool look. But that lake can be a moody one. Hawg Hunters put on a good tourney at Scappose this last weekend too and a lot of money was raised for the kids. It took seventeen and change to win (smallies)and they had a smalley almost six pounds. Second had largemouth with the biggie going over five. Was a great tourney with a lot of fish caught. Fish are putting on the feed sacks. This is the time of year for great fishing with low pressure.
