Default What a River

Central Valley had it's club tourney yesterday on the OL Willamette and it once again was a very gracious river. The water had cooled almost six degree's by last Monday so my reaction bite died. But dropshotting 3 " Yum Dingers put us in fish all day. Not sure of numbers but we caught a lot of fish. Big fish of the tourney was just over four pounds (nice smallie). The largest limit was almost 12 pounds. Not too many skiers and ever so cold in the morning which probably helped.

Why yes...but all I know is I tried some of my tried and true patterns up there but it was so slow. Fish are starting to bunch up and when you see them on the graph a person should be able to hook several in a small area. But that just wasn't the case with my normal colors. I'm spoiled up there....I like quanity and quality. So I tried something new that I had just recieved and they were awesome. They didn't want them wacky style for me...just the tried and true dropshot with about a 8 inch space. If your on the river just before dark you'll see a zillion fish jumping if this is any clue. Also a lot of squaws hitting.
