Default Brownlee Water Levels

I was planning a trip to Brownlee for Sept 27-30. Now am reconsidering as I hear m most ramps are unusable due to low water. Does anyone know if the lake will be refilling by late Sept.?

Are you familiar with this site? http://www.idahopower.com/riversrec/.../reservoir.asp

Looks like the ramps on the lower end are still useable. Might want to contact Idaho Power and ask what their plans are.

Understand from Crappie Chaser [Gary is a fishing guide using Hewitt as his access point] that late Sept. can be great time for crappie and bass fishing. Good luck!

Dean

Dave & Dean, Idaho Power has been very co-operative for the last couple of years in leaving the ramps usable. We were able to launch all last year.Hopefully this will continue.Idaho Power is a good neighbor to us.They take a lot of heat and local govt. is always trying to get in their pockets. They recently reached a tentative agreement with Baker County regarding the re-licensing of the Hell's Canyon Complex.Of most importance to us Idaho Power agrees to keep the reservoir within 8' of full from late May -July 4th. No mention of what they will do after that but at least the spawn will go well.Fishing is good. The crappie now have "shoulders"
