Default Oregon Bass Tournaments

I'm currently trying to get my son involved in as many tournaments in Oregon as possible. Does anyone have any advice and or contacts to local clubs that I can contact? Any and all advice is very much appreciated.

What area of Portland do you live in. There are bass clubs all around the city.

We live in SE Portland by Mall 205. Hopefully I can find a club to get him in thats rules state that 15 year olds are allowed to be Non Boaters. My son has 11 years of experience fishing but unfortunatly is only 15.

Try the Mt Hood Chapter of Bass Masters. They are in your area. You can contact them through the bass masters site.

David,

B.A.S.S. has a 18 year old age limit. Not all of the local clubs do. It all depends on the club. I would suggest logging on to the Oregon federation web site and email some of the people listed. The Oregon federation is in the process of starting a youth federation. It will be geared for young people like your son.

Go to oregonbassfederation.org for more information.

Good luck, I sure hope that you might be able to go out and enjoy the experience with your son. My son is 8 years old now and allready starting to call some of the shots in my (our) boat.
