Going to Boca Raton FL for a week on business, then on to Charlotte NC for 5 days. So I will have at least a weekend to mess around in each location. Anyone have any suggestions? I will be doing some web research of course but iFish recommendations are always given the highest respect!

Starts to get good around march. You might want to hire a guide. If you can't do that then your going to want to throw glass minnow (anchovie) and shrimp patterns around the lights of the intercoastal waterway. I have no idea about the carolinas but used to fish florida every march when I was younger. Good luck and give us an update when you return
