Default Going my way?

While fishing the John Day near Twickenham yesterday, an eighteen inch SM towed me and the "Water Skipper" (an eight foot pontoon craft) across some frog water. Three pounds hauling around 300. Yes, circle hooks do hold.
The river's at 60 cfs; I had to float the boat thru five or six riffles. A couple in a canoe called the trip from Service Creek to Twick' "a nightmare". What used to be rapids are now rock gardens w/o alot of room to manuever.
