Default St. Louis Ponds report

Fished St. Louis Ponds in the evening after I got off work for about an hour yesterday. Fished a 1/8 oz. chartreuse maribou jig. Landed two nice smallies and two green-ear sunfish in a couple of the ponds way in the back on the south side. You have to hunt for those ponds. Lots of weeds, had to clean off the lure after most casts, but that's where the fish are. Got my biggest fish, about a 3 pound smallie, on my third cast. I've fished maribou jigs on my last few trips, and the results have been satisfactory. I haven't hooked up anything on plastics, but the maribou seems to be more responsive in the water than plastics.
