Went fishin today
After doing the sports show for 2 days, it was time for the Gizes to go fishing.
I landed 2 steelies today...this one and a native of about 8#'s.
Giz the dog got wet when he decided to jump in and help guide the boat to the fish....
It was a nice day and only saw 2 other boats.
Enjoy, Giz...

Man that dog is goood. He boats the fish, sets the timer on the camera, clicks and makes it back in time to pose.

Re: Went fishin today
Did you learn that dog sonar trick at the Lowrance show? We sat right behind you on Thursday but I guess I missed the dog part. Sorry, you had to leave before the part about training the dog to set waypoints . Never caught up with you afterwards.

Re: Went fishin today
Thanks for the kind words folks...
Jim, sorry to have missed you. I wanted to see a show on ff in the big tank and was killing some time, although, I am thinking of going back to see the rest of that presentation.
As far as teaching giz to set waypoints, don't need to. He takes me to the fish. giz is very advanced and is past the easy stuff...he now teaches synchronized swimming to the fish.
As far as the rivers we fish, those questions have to addressed to giz... He makes me wear a blindfold when he drives me to where we are fishing.
Giz... :

Nice shot of the two swimming in tandem. The fish looks a little apprehensive though.

Re: Went fishin today
Nice little BBQ fish there Walt. Hey, do you wash that mutt in lemon Joy? Sounds like a nice day especially with not many boats around.

I like the jig too, the pink with the white head always seems to be the first one I pull out of my box.

Re: Went fishin today
So there is no confusion, the fish in both the pictures are not the same. The one with giz in the water is a chinook shown below and was taken back in Oct.
And Bermie, he is not a mutt...he is a fish seeking dog , with great powers
The jig hanging out of the fishes mouth, is a first cast jig that I got at an ifishstock party. Thanks for the donation Mark...they work...
Giz...
