Mowed yesterday...after a cookie run to Amboy, and Chelatchie Prairie Market.
Man it was like 20 degrees warmer up there than here in Hazel Dell.
'Course you know...when you dump your boat in the water, it'll be windy, wet, and cold, right?

Re: Whats the deal with this?????
My lawn is getting close to needing to be mowed also. I went up today to check on some stuff at my place on the Kalama. What a fantastic day, stopped along the Woodland bar looking at places I can go plunk and take my 10 month old, gotta get out fishing while babysitting somehow. River looked awesome. This weather has the springer itch going strong, hard to believe it is early Feb.

Darn 5 -Cents on the work at home problem. I told my wife to do it. Not sure I can reprint her responce on the ifish board. It was something along the lines of up yours. However, from one who lives down the valley and reads your posts I do not feel sorry for you. As a matter of fact I am going to send my wife North to have a talk with you. It will be ugly.

Re: Whats the deal with this?????
:smile:Yard work on days like today is a pleasure... Once the fog lifts in the morning, I'll be out mowing the lawn. Mowing in the winter is an occassional event. At least the days have been dry and sunny.
I enjoy yard work. If I can get the mower started in two to three pulls, then I mow. Same for the blower and the edger. If I can't get them started, then my husband can have the honors. He keeps all of the power items in great shape.
Spring is right around the corner...... Then I'll be mowing the lawn once or twice a week.

Re: Whats the deal with this?????
I heard the "call of the mower" last weekend and I thought, "darn you, stupid neighbor, cut it out or my lawn will hear you." I've got a couple of daffodils blooming in the yard already, buds showing strong on my japanese plum tree and I've already scored a couple of kills on the rats that live under my shed. Thankfully, my grass hasn't really started growing much yet. And for the love of fishing, don't fertilize your grass or you'll spend your best days mowing the grass again instead of fishing for springers.

Re: Whats the deal with this?????
Guys,, now let's not get into a tif here! I can't believe you haven't got your roses trim... a rose is suppose to be pruned in the first two weeks of Feb... :depressed: You trying to kill those non-native species or what
5 cents, I know you catch fish, but dang I thought you would treat your garden better than that. now cut them bad boys down to 14 inches.. no more! Otherwise you kill the graph...
gus is back in town,, sitting wireless at SF, in the BIZ class lounge.
