Need a job for a 21 year old Ifisher ....

I am in the process of helping my 21 year old son get a job (and out of my house).
If anybody knows of any solid leads for job opening in or around Newberg, McMinville,
or Sherwood I would appreciate if they would either respond here or PM me.

Some back ground info: High School Graduate from Newberg School System. Has worked as
a commercial fisherman (long hours/hard work), worked for Bi-Mart for 3 months until
mass layoffs, worked at Pacific City Hardware this past summer until layed off because
of lack of business.

He's a hard worker, knows computers, is honest and can get along with just about anybody.
He is also a fellow Ifisher.

He really needs a job where he can not only get wages, but also benefits as he is now
beyond the age where I can supply him with health insurance.

Thanks, but under Basic Qualifications it says:

Education: Graduation from a recognized University or Technical Institution

Somehow I just don't think Newberg High School will qualify!

Very helpful. Thank you!! I haven't looked for a job for so long that I'm having
trouble helping my boy look for one ...

22 years next month! ... and in July I retire to become a full time commercial
fisherman!!

If he needs a job now the equipment/metal place by Normans on the way out of town south has their sign up. Turn on the road just south of the airport I think its called action equipment. I have heard that the Mac municipaltiy/utility board is hiring but I am not possitive. I was also told last night at the pool that chahelem(sp) parks and rec is hire but I am not sure what it is for but I know that it has nothing to do with working at the pool. They are down past Pac Pride on Elliot on the sw corner across from Climax at the north end of the airport they have all the park benches up on end in the drive way/parking lot.

What types of things is he interested in? Is he looking for a job to get by for now or a career? Were is he willing to go to work?

tell him to think about logging hard work and if u get with a good crew can get pay raises quickly and lots of hours. Plus it will make him think about college. (well it made me decided to go to college
