I'd suggest fishing either near Loveridge Bridge, or near Jacks Creek. Mike at the Fishin' Hole in Bruneau is really current on what's happening. You might call him. If you fish near jacks Creek, try straight off the mouth, watch your depth finder, looking for a hole. As soon as the bottom drops off, set your anchor and fish the hole. At night the cats will come up and feed in shallower water. During the day, fish deeper. Crickets, worms and cutbait.

Mojo Thanks for the info!

I'm new to ifish so a little about me. Born and raised in Gooding ID, wanted to see the world so joined the Army after one yr of college (was going to get drafted). After 28yrs of Active Duty,NG and Reserves I decided to retire in 99.After seeing the world I returned to Idaho and attended nursing school. Retired in 2002 from being a fire fighter, did'nt want to but my shoulder was injured in a fall. Our first grandchild came to us March. Life is good.

there is a spot I used to fish many years ago , would pull out absolute pigs 30-35lbs. From the air force docks...head up river. Before you get to cove arms... there is a huge sandy hillside on the right, as the river banks to the left almost 90 degrees. A cuple hundred yards up, there is a pump house...used to be a nice beach there. About 30-40 yards out from the pump house is a nice sandy shelf. There is a road down to there, but was never successful in finding it...let me know if this is still a good spot...we used squaw cut and worms....occasionally prawns. Mojo, do you know where Im talkin?

Yeah Maggot, I know the spot, the sandy hillside is where the lake widens. Your fishing hole is up under the powerlines right? I got a 200 pounder (sturgeon  ) there. I've hooked some cats while sturgeon fishing in that area.
