Default drift boat research

I am hoping you can help me out...

I am looking for info on different DB manufacturers and am having a hell of a time remembering the name of those guys in central oregon...Smith Rock Boats or Smith River Boats, something like that. Anybody know?

I think I am suffering from CRS, but I can't remember what CRS stands for.

thanks!

Were you thinking of Slide Rite boats? They were in Springfield years ago and built a great boat. I owned two, the 14 footer was really slick. Don Hill in Springfield bought the molds and now makes them. Don's business number is 1-800-878-5488. I have one of his and I like it. Don should be at the Sportsman's Show and is a wealth of knowledge concerning drift boats and makers.

Went to the Eugene Sportman and Boat Show and saw an incredible new model of Drift Boat. They are the Heisler DB, and are made in Prineville,OR. This boat is really built well, incredible welds, and every amenity you could think of is in the boat. Pedastal and adjustable front seats, and enclosed front with a tackle drawer. There is a very unique rod holder system, and side mount anchor system that is all welded on and allows use of a kicker at the same time. You can even put the cover on the boat w/o removal of the anchor bracket. The Dierks side mount brackets have to be removed for the boat cover to fit properly. They even build their own trailer, a that is galvanized inside the frame as well. Every storage compartment has gas struts on the doors so they stay open and can load or empty them, very cool. All in all this is an incedible DB for anyone who is in the market. Check Them Out!!! PM me for contact info.

The SmithRockRiverBoats were there as well, let's just say I was not impressed with their boats, compared to the Heisler Boats.

Another new db on the market is the Watershed. They make a 16'9" glass boat that looks sweet. Anybody see them at the show? It is fun to see these different offerings; and it will be interesting to see who is still in business in a couple years when I am ready to buy a new boat. lnf
