Default Hagg Lake last night

Hit hagg last night around 7pm out of my float tube.. 1st cast on a Chart mister Twister spinner grub..2lb largemouth... Lost 1 other largmouth on the same thing.. it was a pig.. 15 or so perch with the grub replaced with a worm. Lots of bass feedin top water.. just sitin there in the shallow weeds I watched 3 or 4 come up and eat some moth-like fly that was grey. Prett cool and fun on utlra light gear!

They are talking about raising the dam within the next 10 years. High enough to need another road, surrounding the lake. I hope it's true.

The lake is possibly to be raised to add more water for irrigation for the farmers. That was why it originally was formed. I am not sure I like the idea, as we live down stream from the dam and if it should ever give way, we may be washed clear to Portland.

The future raising of the Dam may or may not happen. But there is one thing that is for certian. Right now, the farmers are using the lake for what it was intended. Irrigation! The draw down on the lake since the 4th has been tremendous. Fishing has been fair only. Last year at this time of the year there was still a draw down but not as severe seemingly. Last year during the last half of july, almost every day was partially cloudy, warm, but partially cloudy. Non-cloudy days obviously Makes a difference in the water requirements of produce.
