ST with both eggs and sperm sacks (Pic)
Today I caught a nice little hatchery steelhead and was surprised to open it up and see this:
Both eggs and sperms sacks. It had close to 100 large eggs in it. What had obviously happened was this fish sat behind some spawning chinooks and ate and ate. Then my knife must have cut its stomach and spilled them out into its cavity when I opened it.

I caught a steelhead yesterday that had about two dozen periwinkles in it's stomach. Last fall I caught one with about 30 salmon eggs in its stomach. They do eat when they're in fresh water.

For those of you taking notes, Scott just revealed the "real Amerman secret"! The eggs were in the fish the whole time, Scott caught that fish on "scented sperm sacks"! If you don't believe it just give it a try and your numbers will be just like the Amerman clan. Keep those bucks, sprinkle the sperm sacks with a little MSG/sulfite and Jell-O or like Mr. Amerman must have done in this picture, just leave them white? and you're in the game! I like to wrap them in a spawn sack just so they last longer....hopefully this doesn't get deleted too quickly! can you say phermones!!!

Quite odd. Only seen once before, and that fish took a sandshrimp tail...Threw me off for just a minute before I realized that the knife had done just what yours did. THanks for sharing the pic...oh, and NICE FISH from that last post!!
