I will second that it was SLOW!

I fished with Leatherneck and Son today. Leatherneck found 1 nice Native and his Son lost a dandy of a chromer.

We covered a lot of water today and talked with lots of other boats and bankies and I think I came to the same numbers as you did, 2 fish caught...

It was still a fun day on the water!

Waterdog and I hit the upper Wilson this am. Slow start, then I hooked a small one, brought it across the river and lost it as it headed for fast water. Then Waterdog cast across and about 8 feet ahead of where I hooked mine he found a taker. It was a nice hatchery model, about 12 pounds. We had gone over for fun and did not intend to bring anything back so were without a net but managed to coax this one close enough for me to tail it and bring it up on the rocks. Nice fish. Both hookups were on 1/4 ounce peach jigs. River was a little high but water was very nice. Cool and wet, but succeeded in having fun.

Waterdog - Let's see that fish

Aahhh, the calm before the storm. I would bet,, in two weeks or so, those dandy fat nates start to show. Everything is starting to wind down, the crowds are going to disperse and then the big boys can play!!!
