Re: Congratulations to FIRST CAST JIGS
Great Mark. But now you are going to have to make jigs day and night. Soon you will be doing them in your sleep. No time to fish anymore. Good luck.

Re: Congratulations to FIRST CAST JIGS
And if Bass Pro has any sense they will order a bunch, in suitable bassy colors, for their catalog too. Imagine bobber'n jig fishing off structure for bass. Killer!

Don't think you even need a bobber Jack. Just jig 'em using weedless jig hooks

Re: Congratulations to FIRST CAST JIGS
I caught my first steelhead of the year on a first cast jig. It was also the first time I ever tried a jig period. Think I'll stick with'em. Nice job guys. Good luck.

Funny that you mentioned that Jack. Ive been sending custom tied Bass jigs to a gentleman back on the east coast for a couple years now. He even wrote an article about how effective they are for smallies. Practically every warm water fish he chases after loves them.
Here is a simlar color pattern that he has been using. The longer tail really comes to life in the water.
We're calling it the Long Tail Bass Jig .

Re: Congratulations to FIRST CAST JIGS
OoO, nice color there. If you want an amazing all-around color combo for your maribou, try chartreus/blue/white. Throw a tuft of black for the 'tail' and you have a killer bass jig.

Re: Congratulations to FIRST CAST JIGS
Great job, and great jigs. We can't keep them on the shelf at the store. They are sold out in no time.
You may have to hire some help now.!

Re: Congratulations to FIRST CAST JIGS
Mark:
I just received a bunch of jigs you tied for me, the first ones I've ever ordered from you direct. BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to put them to use. I am a novice at the bobber & Jig, but I've had some good success.
The "bass" jig you show, reminds me the Rooster Tail, green body with green and yellow streamer and gold blade. This, along with the brown w/ gold blade, have caught me a lot of steelhead on the Deschutes, incluning my largest ever, a 24# buck in 1981.
I haven't used them for years, but now that I've sterted having some success with bobber & jig, I'm looking forward to having some tied up.
Imagine one of these (particularly the brown) in the water with some salmonflies in the air.
Mark, please PM me. I'd like to talk to you about this.

cotalot
Drop me an e-mail and we can discuss different jig patterns. With all the colors available the sky is the limit.

Re: Congratulations to FIRST CAST JIGS
Congratulations!
I've never used your jigs, but have used jigs of similar appearance. It's nice to see a small business grow. Congrats, Congrats, Congrats
Nothing beats a "hand tied" jig! Nothing!
