Default Harbercraft vs. Ed wing

I don't know about the rest of you who may have attended this years Portland boat show but it looked as bad as I have seen it in several years. One boat did catch my eye and that was the Harbercraft. Made in B.C. Staff Jennings had a 28' and a 23' on display. After talking to a sales rep from Harbercraft who was helping out at the show he mentioned a 25' that is still 8'6" but configured like the 28'. I was wondering if anybody else saw the boat and had any comments especially how it would compare to the Ed Wing boats I have heard so much about. Actually there was one other boat that I saw and liked and that was the 24' Pursuit. They had it retailed at $102,000 but a very special boat show price of $87,000. Nice boat but too much money for me.

Longfin,

Did you look at the Northriver 24/26' Offshore? That would be my choice in this class of boat, only problem is you'll be on a 6-9mo. waiting list.

How about that nice pretty red Motion Marine Offshore 30', It could be yours for a measly $206,000.00

A friend of a friend had this boat built. MM is actually giving him a 15k discount for allowing them to take it to a couple of shows. Then they are delivering it to Alaska.

At one time I seriously was considering a Jetcraft, but not after the way Harbercraft handled closing the Medford manufacturing plant for Jetcraft, I don't think so.
Jetcraft sold to Harvercraft... not sure how long after that this happened, but just doesn't seem right to have a company picnic on Sat. then come to work on Monday to find out the plant is closed. They escorted the former employees into the building one at a time to retreive personal belongings, then informed them they were trespassing if they stayed on company property. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong
